CITIZENS BANK
Anamosa, Iowa
After
The bank’s goals for this project were to update the aesthetics
of the facility with more durable and energy efficient materials. The existing
facility measured 5,000 square feet and is located on Main Street, in downtown
Anamosa. The wood siding was replaced with lower maintenance simulated vinyl
shakes. The large areas of inefficient glass on the front façade were replaced
with energy efficient insulated glass. The remodel also incorporating local
Anamosa limestone in rough cut blocks on the façade and as a flooring material.
The interior of the facility also received a facelift, using
lighter colored materials. The size of the teller area was increased to meet
current demands by moving them beyond the existing columns. The existing
structure, which was prominently painted and exposed, was enclosed to give the
space a more up-to-date feel. Other interior renovations included changing
cubicle style office spaces into closed offices, as well as reworking the
lighting.
